We got started with MesterSkaberne.
There is a first time for everything. First program, first time in front of camera, first time with microphone, first time we built – on time.
First task – a bedside table, tied material was books!??? Uh…. Well then. 2.1/2 hour, 1-2-3-go-build.
And we built to the best of our abilities ;0) The result was a bedside table, which can be placed over the bed to fit a PC, a coffee, breakfast in bed…
The table is built of old patio boards, glass from an old window and the books cut into pieces as the pattern on the countertop. The only problem was that it was unstable – and we were judged on the instability ;0)
Second task – build a bed in 2 days. Tied materials were 1 old desk and a small dresser. Hhmn… We agreed to build a combined bed/sofa/bookcase/cozy corner, and as we had learnt from the problems of instability from the small assignment we put 13 legs on ;0D no instability here. The idea sketch would later prove to be extremely accurate.
We have chosen to use all 4 legs from the dresser assembled in the left corner. The drawers we chose to cut into 8 pieces to re-glue the 6 pieces together, but now in a new pattern. The green striped fabric had a dark green side and a bright green side. It was utilized to break the length of the bed. We had no pillow fills, so we cut the residue from the mattresses into crumbles and used it in the cushions.

And here is the result of 2 days of wear and tear – built by an old desk, an old dresser, recycled foam rubber mattresses, fabric debris and red paint. The booties in the shelf are the legs of the desk. The rest of the desktop came to follow us, now as sewing table. As you can see, the finished furniture looks like our sketch. The bed was built as it was thought from the beginning, and it was stable 0)
