From container waste to elegant designs

The gray and sad pot was in a container and was going to the landfill but I liked the shape. So the pot came with me home. After a little spray paint, gold leaf and a little recycled decoration, the new one has become elegant and completely its own. If you have a sad pot, it does not take long to give it new life.

Start by spray-painting the pot in the color you want. Expect the pot to have 3-4 times. When the pot is dry, make the gold leaf decoration.

I chose to try gluing the gold leaf (designer metal) on with a glue stick and it works. I apply glue where I want gold. I take it in several stages. Then I gently take a bite of the gold leaf and dab it on with my fingers. When it has dried a bit, I take a small Jensen and brush off the excess gold. If I think there is a lack of gold, I apply a little more glue and dab more gold. Let it dry and brush the whole pot over with lacquer glue so that it can be washed without the gold falling off.

For the decoration I use a large oasis ball. Insert a candle holder at the top of the ball if you want light in the decoration. The bow decoration is made of 4 bows that are glued on top of each other in a cross. Next, wrap a steel wire around the waist of the loop and insert as shown in the photo.

Then I found a lot of cones and a box with remnants of decorations that are stuck in the ball. Continue until you have covered the entire ball. Insert a little moss where the cones do not completely cover the bottom. Then I sprayed some stains and sprinkled with snow glitter. From discarded to elegant. Recycle when it’s the most fun. Have fun; 0)
