NATURE AND FLEA MARKET FINDINGS

There is no more talented designer than nature. I love being in the wild, analyzing it and studying its structure.

In my herb garden blooming right now is marigold and Borago officinalis. They are allowed to grow between each other as it suits them, and the sight is beautiful, so I photographed it.

The following day, I was at the Århus Klunsere in Lading, it happens very often, and here I saw a beautiful large blue glass vase and an orange striped slightly smaller glass vase. When I saw the vases, I suddenly also saw the photo with the Marigold and the Borago officinali.

I am a visual person. I see and perceive everything in color and images. If I have seen a shape, color or image, I do not forget it, while what happened a week ago can be very far away in memory ;0), someone calls it old age!!

The vases came home with me. The idea of restoring the color combination from the marigold photo was to be tested. Along with some turquoise opaline glass cups found on a flea market last summer, a small collection of blue fluted/seagul centerpieces(also Flea finds), as well as a fantastic sculpture of a horse, from the Ceramics Ivan Panov’s hand, they became part of a beautiful still life. The beautiful tiled table I have built some years ago after finding the 20 tiles at home on my parents ‘ ceiling. My mother painted them back in 1962, 3 years before that was thought of me.

The table is built of a plywood plate, legs which are planed in the bevel and skirting lists cut into smig. Then I painted the table white, since covered it with masking tape and spray painted the skirting lists gold. I love the small tiled table.

Right now I am delighted with my orange-blue stillleben and who knows when I will be looking at colors in nature and finding new beautiful flea market discoveries. I am sure it will happen soon ;0). Nature is fantastic, just ask Antoni Gaudi and Claude Monet.
